Xi Jinping Arrives in Brasilia for the 11th BRICS Summit

On the evening of November 12, 2019 local time, President Xi Jinping arrived in Brasilia by a special plane to attend the 11th BRICS Summit.

When Xi Jinping and his wife Peng Liyuan went down the gangway, they were warmly greeted by senior officials of the Brazilian government. The Commander of the Brazilian Air Force saluted to Xi Jinping and his wife, and trumpeters from the air force blew the horns and saluted to them. The guard of honor lined along the red carpet, with eye salute.

Ding Xuexiang, Yang Jiechi, Wang Yi, He Lifeng and other delegation members arrived in Brasilia by the same plane.

H.E. Yang Wanming, Chinese Ambassador to Brazil, also greeted President Xi Jinping at the airport.

Xi Jinping arrived in Brasilia after wrapping up his state visit to Greece. As President Xi Jinping left Athens, Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias of Greece saw him off at the airport.
