Chinese Ambassador to Iceland Jin Zhijian Visits Tveirheimar Taiji Center

On April 11, Chinese Ambassador Jin Zhijian visited Tveirheimar Taiji Center in Iceland and talked with Ms. Filipsdottir, head of the center and some of her students.

Ambassador Jin pointed out that though China and Iceland were located far apart, the two peoples boasted a long history of friendly exchanges which became more and more active. Cultural exchanges were important parts of bilateral relations, and served as key channels for people to people exchanges. He highly appreciated the hard work and contribution of Tveirheimar Taiji Center in spreading Chinese culture and enhancing mutual understanding and friendship between the two peoples. He wished to see more exchanges and cooperation between the Chinese Embassy in Iceland and the center, which would provide a better experience of Chinese culture for the public of Iceland.

Ms. Filipsdottir introduced Tveirheimar's daily activities and future plan and appreciated Ambassador Jin for his recognition and positive remarks of the center. She would like to keep in close contact with the embassy and continue to teach Taiji so as to introduce Chinese culture to the locals and contribute to the development of China-Iceland relations.
