International Cooperation

China and Iceland maintain close cooperation in international affairs. The two sides share identical or similar views on safeguarding world peace, promoting common development, opposing unilateralism, maintaining multilateral system, advocating free trade, opposing terrorism, tackling climate change, and strengthening environmental protection. The two countries have conducted regular communication on major international issues, supported each other on issues such as the election of international institutions, and became a model for cooperation between countries of different sizes and social systems.
