Ambassador He Rulong conveyed the warm congratulations and cordial greetings from Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Foreign Minister Wang Yi. Ambassador He briefed Foreign Minister Benediktsson on the latest development of China-Iceland relations and expressed that the Chinese side is willing to work with the Icelandic side in stepping up bilateral practical cooperation and enhancing people-to-people friendship, so as to further grow China-Iceland relations.

Foreign Minister Bjarni Benediktsson thanked Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Foreign Minister Wang Yi for his congratulations and greetings, and expressed his willingness to strengthen exchanges with the Chinese side and increase cooperation with China in green energy transition, e-commerce and other fields by better tapping the full potential of Iceland-China Free Trade Agreement, with a view to developing bilateral relations.
