On July 20, Ambassador He Rulong met with Ambassador Estrid Brekkan, Chief Protocol of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Iceland. The two sides had an exchange of views on facilitating travels between the two countries and cooperation between the Chinese Embassy and the Protocol Department.

Ambassador He expressed his gratitude to the Protocol Department for organizing celebration activities for diplomatic envoys during Iceland's National Day, hoping that the latter will continue to provide assistance to the Embassy in the future.

Ambassador Brekkan thanked the Embassy for its enormous assistance in facilitating personnel exchange between China and Iceland, and looked forward to the full resumption of people-to-people exchange with a view to pushing forward bilateral cooperation in various fields.
