December 8th marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Iceland. The Embassy of China in Iceland and the famous Icelandic newspaper Fréttablaðið jointly published a special edition celebrating the Golden Jubilee between China and Iceland. Yang Wen, Chargé d'affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Iceland, Jónína Bjartmarz, chairman of the Iceland-China Trade Council, Þorkell Árnason, chairman of the Icelandic-Chinese Cultural Society, and Magnús Björnsson, Icelandic dean of Confucius Institute of Northern Lights in Iceland, published articles to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Iceland. From different perspectives, they reviewed the history of friendly exchanges between the two countries, the profound friendship between the two peoples, and the fruitful cooperation results in various fields, wishing that the Sino-Icelandic cooperation can be further enhanced and the friendship between the two peoples will last forever.
