Chinese Ambassador to Iceland JIN Zhijian meets with Minister of Justice of Iceland

On 14th November, Ambassador to Iceland JIN Zhijian met with the Minister of Justice of Iceland Mme. Sigríður Andersen. The two sides had a cordial conversation regarding how to further enhance bilateral cooperation in the field of justice. Mr. Haukur Guðmundsson, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry was also in attendance.

Ambassador JIN introduced the latest development of China-Iceland relations and said that China has witnessed significant achievements in the rule of law. China is willing to strengthen exchanges with Iceland in the field of justice so as to further enhance mutual understanding, improve mutually beneficial cooperation and inject new vigour into the development of the bilateral relations. Minister Andersen is welcome to pay an official visit to China at a convenient time for both sides. Minister Andersen said that the Ministry of Justice of Iceland is willing to make full use of its advantages and expertise to strengthen cooperation with China through judicial exchanges, she look forward to having the chance to visit China in the future.

The two sides also exchanged views regarding visa facilitation and adoption of Chinese children by Icelandic families.
