|Ambassador Jin Zhijian visits the Icelandic Fisheries Association|
On September 11, Mr.Jin Zhijian, Chinese Ambassador in Iceland visited the Icelandic Fisheries Association and discussed future cooperation between China and Iceland in the fishery sector with Ms. Heidrun Lind Marteinsdottir, CEO of the Fisheries Association.
Ambassador Jin pointed out that China-Iceland economic and trade cooperation has maintained a good momentum of development at present. The export of Icelandic seafood to China has increased rapidly in recent years. He also made some proposals on further strengthening cooperation in the fields such as fishery processing, fishing equipment, modern fishing technology and exchange of advanced management concepts.
Heidrun fully agreed with Ambassador Jin’s suggestions and expressed that the Icelandic Fisheries Association will maintain close ties with the Chinese Embassy and jointly promote continuous development of cooperation between the two countries.
Mr. Chen Guisheng, head of the Economic and Commercial’s Office of the Embassy attended the meeting.
