|Ambassador of China to Iceland Zhang Weidong Attends China (Changsha)-Iceland Economic, Trade & Cultural Workshop|
On 17 October 2016, Ambassador Zhang Weidong attended China (Changsha)-Iceland Economic, Trade & Cultural Workshop. In his speech, Ambassador Zhang said that China-Iceland relations have been developing fast in recent years and bilateral economic, trade and cultural cooperation has been deepened. Local exchanges form an important part of China-Iceland relations and it can effectively push forward the two countries’ overall relations. He expressed his hope that relevant parties from both sides would work together and help to advance China-Iceland relations further.
H.E. Ragnheiður Elín Árnadóttir, Minister of Industry and Commerce of Iceland, Ms. Unnur Orradóttir Ramette, Director General for External Trade and Economic Affairs of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Iceland, Mr. Jón Ásbergsson, Managing Director of Promote Iceland, Mr. Arnþór Helgason, Chairman of the Icelandic Chinese Cultural Society, government officials from Changsha City, and representatives from relevant companies from both countries were present.
Several cooperative documents were signed during the event.
