Ambassador MA Jisheng Meets Icelandic PM

Ambassador MA Jisheng met with Icelandic Prime Minister, H.E. Mme. Sigurðardóttir on January 18, 2013.

 

Ambassador MA conveyed Premier Wen Jiabao's cordial greetings to Prime Minister Sigurðardóttir. He said that the development of bilateral relations enjoys sound momentum currently and is making progress in various fields. He hoped to, through the joint efforts with Icelandic side, implement the consensuses between leaders of two countries last April and push forward China-Iceland relations to a higher level.

 

Prime Minister Sigurðardóttir expressed her cordial greetings to Premier WEN and welcomed Ambassador MA to take the post. She said that Iceland-China relations enjoys healthy and steady development. Two countries have made achievements in bilateral cooperation, as well as breakthrough in FTA talks. She said that Iceland looks forward to enhance its cooperation with China and realize mutual benefits.
