Chinese Ambassador to Iceland Jin Zhijian Takes Interview with Icelandic Stöð 2 Television

On August 21, Chinese Ambassador Jin Zhijian took interview with reporter from Stöð 2 television, and answered questions on Belt of Road Initiative (BRI) and China' Arctic Policy.

Ambassador Jin expressed that as the important platform of international cooperation, the BRI upheld the principles of extensive consultation, joint contribution, and shared benefits. It focused on policy coordination, infrastructure connectivity, unimpeded trade, financial integration, and closer people-to-people ties. It pursued open, green and clean development. China and Iceland enjoyed broad prospect on economic and trade exchanges, infrastructure, green development and creative industry, China was more than glad to see that Iceland could join the BRI family in the future, which would further strengthen the bilateral relations. Ambassador Jin also elaborated on China's Arctic policies by sharing views over topics related to Polar Silk Road.
